Class Descriptions

WHICH CLASS WILL YOU SIGN UP FOR?

**NOTE: All classes end with a short guided Yoga Nidra meditation bringing benefits to the nervous system and endocrine system and ultimately the whole body. Done while laying down in the savasana resting pose with an optional lavender towel to place over your eyes, forehead, face or neck. Just relax and feel the benefits**

Beginner Yoga -  Always wanted to try yoga but feeling a little unsure of what to expect?  This is the class for you!  Perfect for anyone new to yoga or recovering from injury, or anyone just wanting a more relaxed class at a slower pace.  All levels of fitness and yoga experience welcome.

Gentle Yoga - Great for anyone wanting a more relaxed pace or gentle movements.  Focus is on more “traditional” yoga poses setting the foundation to a growing practice. Slow yoga can be the best yoga, slowing down to practice mindfulness in your movements.

Yoga Flow - Challenge yourself in this high energy class increasing your stamina and strength, flexibility and balance, patience and mindfulness….while still always listening to your body and knowing sometimes less is more.  Some vinyasa flow styles of yoga, longer hold times on other poses, and the opportunity to deepen your practice with some more advanced asanas.

Everybody Yoga - This class is for everybody from experienced yogis or active beginners and everything in between.  Strengthen and stretch from head to toe in this class, or just show up on the mat and listen to your body and do as it says (meaning take it easy as needed, or work harder if that’s what you need that day!).  Modifications provided to meet each student’s needs.

Chair Yoga -  Perfect for more people than you think!  Wanting to start a practice, but haven't moved much in years? Start with Chair Yoga until you feel ready to try another class.  Recent or old injury causing you pain or problems? Chair Yoga could be just right you.  Or are you a senior looking to get some healthy and accessible movement? Chair Yoga!!

Fundamentals of Yin Yoga - Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that targets deep connective tissues - such as ligaments, joints, and fascia - rather than muscles.  It involves holding passive poses for several minutes, primarily on the floor, to increase flexibility, improve joint mobility, and release tension. It acts as a balancing, calming practice to active "yang" lifestyles.

*Private Individual and Group Yoga - Private group classes are perfect for companies, special gatherings and events, or just a group of friends or family wanting to do some yoga. Individual private lessons are often used to get familiar with the basic yoga principals and poses before joining a group class or to deepen your current practice, injury recovery, focus on a particular pose, and so many other reasons.

*See “Private Yoga Classes” for pricing of Private Individual and Group Yoga in-studio and at your location
